A €200 Urban parking levy has been introduced from 1 Jan 2009 onwards.

Note that some employees may not be liable for the full €200 (eg shift workers) This Levy should be spread throughout the year. To calculate the amount per pay period, divide the annual amount by pay periods.

For weekly paid, weekly levy amount = €200/52 = €3.85
For monthly paid, monthly amount = €200/12 = €16.67

The 2009 version of Payback has a facility to process this levy. The parking levy is added to the PRSI column of the P30.
