To back Payback up onto a CD please follow these instructions;

(For Payback Version 3.07)
-Click on 'Admin' on the main menu at the left of the screen. It should be near the bottom.
-Select the 'Backup' icon. The backup screen should appear.
-Click on the 'Backup' button. A file dialogue will appear, prompting you for a file name.
-Type a file name, taking note of the directory.
-Click the 'Save' button and exit Payback.
-Open your CD burning software (eg. roxio creator classic or nero etc.)
-Use your CD burning software to burn the Payback Backup file to a CD.

Note that it is not possible just to copy files onto a CD (like you can with a memory stick). Files have to burnt to a CD using the CD burning software that came with your hardware.
