Post subject:  Unable to download an update.
Some customers are having difficultly downloading updates from our website.

Browser: Microsoft Internet Explorer v9 (IE9)
Error:
"setup.exe is not commomly downloaded and could harm your computer"
Only gives the options of "Do not run this program or delete this program"
Solution:
Switch off ie9 Smart Screen feature

1. Open Internet Explorer by clicking the Start button . In the search box, type Internet Explorer, and then, in the list of results, click Internet Explorer.

2. Click the Safety button, point to SmartScreen Filter, and then click either Turn Off SmartScreen Filter or Turn On SmartScreen Filter.

3. In the Microsoft‌ SmartScreen Filter dialog box, click OK

Browser: Microsoft Internet Explorer v8 (IE)
Error:
When clicking the link from gmail a new window opened up with a yellow bar at the top saying "To help protect your security, Internet Explorer blocked this site from downloading files to your computer. Click here for options"

Clicked that and selected 'Download File..."

And then nothing, except that page with the copyright message: "Copyright 2002-2011 Google Inc. "

Solution: Right-click the link in the email, and select 'Save Target As'

- Try typing of copying the link directly into the address bar of your browser
- If an security or digital certificate errors appear, continue with the download.
